Similar problem has been detected: $ WAYLAND_DISPLAY= gnome-terminal reporter: libreport-2.8.0 backtrace_rating: 4 cmdline: /usr/libexec/gnome-terminal-server crash_function: after_process_all_updates executable: /usr/libexec/gnome-terminal-server global_pid: 20201 kernel: 4.10.6-200.fc25.x86_64 package: gnome-terminal-3.22.1-5.fc25 pkg_fingerprint: 4089 D8F2 FDB1 9C98 pkg_vendor: Fedora Project reason: gnome-terminal-server killed by SIGSEGV runlevel: N 5 type: CCpp uid: 1001
That is, from an xterm window, I attempted to start gnome-terminal under XWayland: $ WAYLAND_DISPLAY= gnome-terminal Error: Message recipient disconnected from message bus without replying $ (and the server process segfaulted, causing an ABRT popup).
I looks like I forgot to mention that this issue showed up for the first time when I ran GDK_BACKEND=x11 gnome-terminal as a test in a GNOME on Wayland session.
This issue also affects the current Fedora 26 branch.

Similar problem has been detected: I don't really know what happened. I had a bunch of terminals open (some of them for a long time: ~days) and then when I tried to open a new one all of them crashed. reporter: libreport-2.8.0 backtrace_rating: 4 cmdline: /usr/libexec/gnome-terminal-server crash_function: after_process_all_updates executable: /usr/libexec/gnome-terminal-server global_pid: 8153 kernel: 4.10.11-200.fc25.x86_64 package: gnome-terminal-3.22.1-5.fc25 pkg_fingerprint: 4089 D8F2 FDB1 9C98 pkg_vendor: Fedora Project reason: gnome-terminal-server killed by SIGSEGV runlevel: N 5 type: CCpp uid: 1001
(In reply to Dan Dragomir from comment #19) Please update your system and reboot. If the issue persists, add a corresponding comment, thanks. The use case which triggered this bug in the first place should have been fixed some time ago; indeed, I cannot reproduce the crash on my system any longer.
