1. Proposed title of this feature request Independent GitHub Enterprise Authentication Provider 3. What is the nature and description of the request? The feature to use GitHub itself as an auth provider already exists; customer is looking to use their independent GitHub Enterprise deployment as an authentication provider. 4. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here) Customer's business uses a GitHub Enterprise deployment. It is backed by a SAML authentication which is already supported, however customer does not have easy access to the SAML auth provider. Given that GitHub Enterprise might have an arbitrary backend or a backend that a customer might not have easy access to the configuration of, and given that we are already (possibly) partway to being able to support this (barring url changes, perhaps certificate trust issues, etc), it may be a useful opportunity for expanding options. 5. How would the customer like to achieve this? (List the functional requirements here) GitHub Enterprise auth provider 6. For each functional requirement listed in question 5, specify how Red Hat and the customer can test to confirm the requirement is successfully implemented. Log in using GitHub Enterprise login 7. Is there already an existing RFE upstream or in Red Hat bugzilla? Not that I am aware, only found some SME-list threads 10. List any affected packages or components. oauth 11. Would the customer be able to assist in testing this functionality if implemented? possibly
