Description Andy Wang 2016-11-28 21:07:48 UTC
Created attachment 1225478 [details]
kernel messages

Description of problem:
nouveau results in a black screen when 3 monitors are connected to a Quadro K2000 at boot time.

If I boot with only two monitors connected and plug the third one in on-the-fly everything works fine but on next reboot the problem occurs again.

It *seems* like it's driving the monitors at the wrong frequency but I can't tell for sure.

kernel version:
kernel-4.8.8-300.fc25.x86_64

device is:
05:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GK107GL [Quadro K2000] (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])

When the black screen occurs, the attached nouveau.txt file contains the kernel messages.

*********** MASS BUG UPDATE **************
We apologize for the inconvenience. There is a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 25 kernel bugs.

Fedora 25 has now been rebased to 4.9.3-200.fc25. Please test this kernel update (or newer) and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel.

If you have moved on to Fedora 26, and are still experiencing this issue, please change the version to Fedora 26.

If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those.

Comment 2 Andy Wang 2017-01-26 16:31:20 UTC
This is still a problem with the latest 4.9.5-200.fc25 kernel.
