Created attachment 1227531 [details] Logs that cover a time when the bug occurred. Description of problem: When "Automatic brightness" is set to on in the Gnome 3 power manager window, I find that many different actions cause my screen brightness to increase. Such actions include: 1: Switching from tty1 to tty2, then back to tty1 2: Saving a document with gedit 3: Opening a saved document with gedit, then editing it 4: Pressing control+z on an edited gedit document until I've fully reversed the edit and the document is back to its pre-edit state, at which point the brightness increases 5: Playing a video with vlc Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): I am using a MacBook Air 7,2 with a fully up to date install of fedora 23, using Gnome 3. This problem dose not occur with kernel version kernel-4.7.10-100.fc23.x86_64, but dose occur with kernel-4.8.8-100.fc23.x86_64 and kernel-4.8.10-100.fc23.x86_64. Actual results: Expected results: Additional info: I've attached a portion of my logfile that covers a period of time in which I switched from tty4 (root login) to tty1 (normal user, qpope, with graphical login), edited a saved document, undid my edit with control+z, then switched back to tty4.
