Description of problem: I would paste in a new layer a selection copied from another Gimp window. And it crash! The program receives a "BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)" error from X11, this happens fairly deep in the gtk/gdk/X11 therefore I assume that it's caused by a bug in the toolkit. Changing component to gtk2.
This message is a reminder that Fedora 24 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 2 (two) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 24.
