Description Jeff Fearn 🐞 2016-12-13 00:10:01 UTC
Description of problem:
People are asking for a replacement for the old front page extension d5ropped from BZ5.

Import the BMO extension and get input on it.

Hi,

I will add that a mockup of that dashboard is here:

For viewing pleasure until Jeff sets up a playground for something real. :-)

Cheers,
Don

That isn;t a mock up, it's a actual screen shot of the dashboard running on bugzilla.mozilla.org :)

Turns out to be a lot of work, bumping from 5.0 schedule.

Hi Jeff,

That is a showstopper for our group. Folks on our team have 10s of bugs and need an
manageable way to sort through them. Our group is the Platform Enablement team.

Can you suggest a comprobable alternative that is easier to implement for the 5.0 schedule?

Cheers,
Don

I'm going to close this bug as after checking on what Matt said it's clear that this particular extension would cost us a lot to import. It uses yui3 and handlebar JS, both are pretty big changes and if we are going to import large things like that, then I'd want to make sure we intended to use it for all our custom stuff going forward, and that is clearly not the case here.

I'll continue to chat off-bug with people to see if we can get a solution for similar functionality where required.
