Hi Chris,

Thank you for raising this bug.

Possibly a silly question, but it looks like the disconnected upgrade scenario is missing not only the steps to run 'yum update', but also to download and create an offline repository with the 6.2 packages.

Does that look correct to you?

Assuming that is the case, is there a specific step where the 'yum update' command should come? I.e. would it be ok to do so immediately after creating the offline repository?

Kind regards,

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Yes I am seeing that as well. If you want I can upgrade a disconnected 6.1 satellite to a 6.2 and post the steps in a raw format that can be taken and made pretty with the docs team.

Let me know if that works?

Thanks,

- Chris

Hi Chris,

My apologies for the delay.

If you have the time, that would be amazing. Particularly if we can get some advice on the steps to set up the offline repositories!

Kind regards,

Andrew

Hello

The procedure includes this step:

Obtain the ISO file, mount it, and install the packages. For more information, see Section 3.2, “Downloading and Installing from a Disconnected Network”.

That procedure has a `yum update` command for the OS updates and also uses the installation script witch installs the packages required for the Satellite upgrade.

Thank you
