Description of problem:

Trying to run "sudo nm-connection-editor" inside a gnome-terminal:

sudo nm-connection-editor 
No protocol specified
Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused

The same without sudo runs (the password will be asked afterwards

Change in /etc/gdm/custom.conf:

WaylandEnable=false

solves the problem

Seems to be solved in F26
