Description Barbora Vassova 2017-03-09 16:10:55 UTC
Business Case:
Customer would like to be able to nest host collections in a similar way as it is currently possible with Host Groups.

Technical Requirements:
It would be useful for us to be able to nest these patching collections into 'functional' collections (e.g. all servers in our Dev environment) and 'Service' collections (e.g. all servers in the FTP solution service).
The nesting would thus look like -

Environment Collection ->
			 Service collections ->
					       Patching Collections

The only collection we would be directly adding content hosts to would be the Patching Collection.

Thank you for your interest in Satellite 6. We have evaluated this request, and we do not expect this to be implemented in product in the forseeable future. We are therefore closing this out as WONTFIX. If you have any concerns about this, please feel free to contact Rich Jerrido or Bryan Kearney. Thank you.
