Description of problem: Currently, libguestfs depends on gnupg 1.x package. Please make libguestfs use gnupg 2.x too, so I don't need to install gnupg 1.x and all its dependencies. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): libguestfs-tools-c-1.36.2-1.fc25 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. run `$ dnf repoquery --resolve --requires libguestfs-tools-c` (requires the "repoquery" dnf plugin) Additional info: In case libguestfs does not need gnupg at all, please drop the dependency.
The upstream patch was much more straightforward than I feared: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2017-April/msg00020.html
Thank you!
First patch was NACKed upstream. Here is a second attempt: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2017-April/msg00078.html
Upstream in libguestfs >= 1.37.9. Soon in Fedora Rawhide / 27. This is a candidate for libguestfs 1.36.4 in Fedora 25/26, but not for a little while.
