'git am'able fix attached. Another valid option would be to just remove the check for xauth's existence altogether; AFAICS its invocation will just fail and cause the script to exit if it's not available or fails for some other reason. Let me know if you'd like me to push and build this (or the other option above, please indicate which one) to devel.
