This is an assertion failure, due to the number of observations being 0 (see the n_obs parameter to random_kmeans in frame 4). This means that the return value of the call to setup_obs on line 829 was zero. And now I'm confused, because the third argument to setup_obs, n_in_frame, is 4 and stride *should* be 1 since the command line includes "-stride 1", so the return value of setup_obs *should* be 4 / 1 == 4, not zero. David, is there any chance you can reproduce this with gdb, and see what the value of stride is? I'm guessing it is > 4, but its exact value may give us a clue.
