Description WenhanShi 2017-06-01 01:59:45 UTC
Document URL: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_gluster_storage/3.2/html/administration_guide

Section Number and Name: None, Need a new one

Describe the issue:
We have a KCS for preventing mem-leak and access-delay for samba use case.
As this is an official solution and it's very important to customer to configure samba setup, I want to add this into the administration guide of gluster.

    https://access.redhat.com/solutions/2969381

Suggestions for improvement: reform this KCS and add the configuration steps to the administration guide of gluster

Additional information:
For the access delay issue, from the BZ below, you can find the
explanation of the root cause and how this fuse-re-export solution
will resolve it.

  https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1451951#c59

Also, it will be very helpful if you can add the ctdb configuration steps for this fuse-re-export solution into the document too.

Wenhan,

Steps will remain same in the doc, please use KCS for time being. We will get the doc update for next release.

since the settings seems to be lost with every start and stop of a volume, it looks like we should document the procedure so customer can do it on his own.

If we can clearly document under which circumstance, customer should use this procedure, then I am ok with documenting it.

Changes looks good to me.
