For Ubuntu based clusters, in the doc link https://access.redhat.com/articles/3031571 under installing NRPE section:

1)For the NRPE daemon on the remote machines, the check_nrpe plugin is not
  installed.
 root@magna077:/home/ubuntu/nagios-plugins-2.1.2/nrpe-3.1.0# /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -H localhost
bash: /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe: No such file or directory

2) There isn't any conf file as /usr/local/nagios/etc/nrpe.cfg etc.

I've updated the document to support Ubuntu 16.04 as well. See https://access.redhat.com/node/3031571/draft for details. I do not believe I have permissions to publish it.

Updating the QA Contact to a Hemant. Hemant will be rerouting them to the appropriate QE Associate.

Giri

Level setting the severity of this defect to "Low" with a bulk update. Pls
refine it to a more closure value, as defined by the severity definition in
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/page.cgi?id=fields.html#bug_severity
