on a Radeon 9200, there seems to be bugs in mozilla text handling.
specifically, it seems that text extents are calculated wrong as the
cursor is not positionned properly.
see attached screenshot for a sample...

open a mail window (or any edit control) in mozillaa
type text.
caret seems to lag behind the actual position of the end of the text
erase some text, a tiny portion at the right is not erased
select text
some wierd text wobbling pattern can be observed during selection

Since this bugzilla report was filed, we have seriously upgraded Gecko-related
packages in Rawhide, which may have resolved this issue. Users who have
experienced this problem are encouraged to upgrade their system to the latest
version of their distribution available.

Closing this bug as CANTFIX. Please, reopen, if this bug is still reproducable
on the latest update of your distribution.
