Description Lars Kellogg-Stedman 2017-06-29 15:35:52 EDT
cloud-init 0.7.9 makes extensive use of alias files when generating the network configuration. It turns out that alias files aren't very well supported in NetworkManager, and we have discovered a number of corner cases in which something that works with the legacy networking script fails with NetworkManager.

Upstream commit https://git.launchpad.net/cloud-init/commit/?id=f38fa41317602908139aa96e930b634f65e39555 modifies cloudinit/net/sysconfig.py so that it no longer generates alias files (and brings other sanity to network config generation on rhel/fedora/centos).

We should backport this change to F26.
