Description of problem: Using dnf command, the installation of the 'Virtualization' group interferes with third-party software Draftsight. In terminal run one of these command lines: “dnf groupinstall 'Virtualization'” or “dnf group remove 'Virtualization'”. Actual results: While the Running transaction related to “dnf groupinstall 'Virtualization'” or “dnf group remove 'Virtualization'” are running, respectively after all the tasks Preparing, Running scriptlet, Installing or Preparing, Running scriptlet, Removing have been processed and before the Verifying tasks has began, comes the lines ”Error in file "/usr/local/share/applications/dassault-systemes_draftsight.desktop": "application-vnd.dassault-systemes.draftsight-dwg" is an invalid MIME type ("application-vnd.dassault-systemes.draftsight-dwg" does not contain a subtype) Error in file "/usr/local/share/applications/dassault-systemes_draftsight.desktop": "application-vnd.dassault-systemes.draftsight-dwt" is an invalid MIME type ("application-vnd.dassault-systemes.draftsight-dwt" does not contain a subtype) Error in file "/usr/local/share/applications/dassault-systemes_draftsight.desktop": "application-vnd.dassault-systemes.draftsight-dxf" is an invalid MIME type ("application-vnd.dassault-systemes.draftsight-dxf" does not contain a subtype)”. Expected results: Despite dnf is able both to install and remove the components related to the 'Virtualization' group, none of these tasks should interfere in any aspect with some others components they are not related to. Additional info: Indeed a third-party software Draftsight (https://www.3ds.com/products-services/draftsight-cad-software/free-download/), which is available for Fedora only as beta version, has been installed.
The error comes from files that are not part of fedora. The problem seems to be in incorrectly specified mime-type. The problem should be fixed in the Draftsight RPMs. No DNF change can fix this.
