Using the latest vim package 8.0.983 whenever I edit a file I see the konsole prompt ($ in my case) as well as some other characters like "$q q" etc. in the top left part of the file. Using latest KDE plasma on fc26. It does not happen if there is a real character in the first character of the first line. Going back to 8.0.946 solves the problem. I also compiled 8.0.992 and it showed the same problem. Something to the with prompt/escape characters?
