Description Julio Villarreal 2017-09-15 13:59:12 UTC
Description of problem:
- The default setting for the size of the appliance is not adequate for production environments using the self-hosted engine. Can we increase this setting by default?

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
- 4.X

How reproducible:
- By installing RHV-M with the default settings (with no modifications on the he-common.conf template) on a self-hosted engine environment.

Actual results:
- The Managed Engine disk will fill causing the system to become unstable.

Expected results:
- Hosted engine disk to be large enough to handle a production environment and reduce maintenance requirements (disk cleanup) and install time customizations.

Additional info:
- Can the default setting OVEHOSTED_STORAGE/imgSizeGB=int: at /usr/share/cockpit/ovirt-dashboard/gdeploy-templates/he-common.conf could be change by default to 100. E.g: OVEHOSTED_STORAGE/imgSizeGB=int:100.

Work around:
- Increase OVEHOSTED_STORAGE/imgSizeGB=int size before deployment.

Comment 1 Sahina Bose 2017-09-18 09:20:33 UTC
We have removed this value from /usr/share/cockpit/ovirt-dashboard/gdeploy-templates/he-common.conf from 4.1.6 version. Is this still an issue?

Comment 3 Sahina Bose 2017-09-19 12:14:03 UTC
Closing this as we do not carry any default configuration for img size from 4.1.6
