True, these items are obsolete in the newer kf5-based version: Obsoletes: %{name}-author < 3.0 Obsoletes: %{name}-flow < 3.0.1-6 Obsoletes: %{name}-flow-libs < 3.0.1-6 Obsoletes: %{name}-map-shape < 3.0 Obsoletes: %{name}-qtquick < 3.0 Obsoletes: %{name}-semanticitems < 3.0 %if ! 0%{?okular} Obsoletes: %{name}-okular-odpgenerator < %{version}-%{release} Obsoletes: %{name}-okular-odtgenerator < %{version}-%{release} %endif #if ! 0%{?marble} Obsoletes: %{name}-reports-map-element < 3.0 Obsoletes: %{name}-kexi-map-form-widget < 3.0 #endif Obsoletes: %{name}-braindump < 3.0.0 Obsoletes: %{name}-braindump-libs < 3.0.0 As you can see, flow is included. If you're having problems upgrading, can you provide the detailed dnf output from the failed transaction?
It is not my system https://ask.fedoraproject.org/en/question/112043/calligra-flow-not-update/ It is, however, not very clear that had happened from this update information. (only available using yumex-dnf). Release : FEDORA-2017-28a677b7e1 Type : Bugfix Issued : 2017-07-24 19:28:25 Bugzilla : 1470345 - calligra-flow-3.0.1-5 rpm is empty Description : Drop empty -flow packages. I guess that is not a bug after all.
So, does 'dnf update' work or not? if not, we still have a bug that needs fixing (otherwise no bug)
The original problem was that someone wants to get an updated version of calligra-flow. I could imagine that upstream doesn't have calligra-flow, or doesn't have it any more. From README https://github.com/KDE/calligra ============================================================= The applications not yet part of the official release, but will be included in a next version: - Flow - Flowcharting program ============================================================== It also seams that upstream has obsoleted the other now missing modules. In that case it is not a fedora bug, but an issue for upstream. What you could do, perhaps, is to make a list of obsoleted modules with an explanation if why they were removed. The person with the ask.fedoraproject.org never check back. To answer your question I first have to install calligra original version and test the update.
correct, upstream calligra project dropped support for flow (and other components) in it's latest release
Thanks for a quick response. And have a nice evening.
