Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because
the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

New Host group Attributes
Document URL: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_satellite/6.2/html/host_configuration_guide/chap-red_hat_satellite-host_configuration_guide-configuring_the_provisioning_environment#sect-Red_Hat_Satellite-Host_Configuration_Guide-Creating_a_Host_Group
Section Number and Name: Section 9.1 Creating Host Group
Describe the issue:
The table in section 9.1 of the Satellite Host Configuration Guide is missing some of the attributes that are listed under the sub menus on the New Host Group page.
To be consistent with the UI, the following sub menu attributes need to be added to this table
Add to Host Group section
-------------------------
- Content View
- Puppet Environment
- Content Source
- Openscap Capsule
These Host Group options should be listed in the following order in the table, as this is the order in which they are displayed on the Satellite UI:
- Parent
- Name
- Life Cycle Environment
- Content View
- Puppet Environment
- Content source
- Puppet CA
- Puppet Master
- Openscap Capsule
Add to Network section
----------------------
- Realm
Should be listed in the table in this order:
- Domain
- Subnet
- Realm
Add to the Operating System section of the table:
-------------------------------------------------
- Media Selection (Synced Content, All media)
There also needs to be an "Locations" Sub menu listed in the table.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: In Satellite There is no "Activation Keys" sub menu on the New Host Group page. This one should be removed from this specific table. The Activation Keys menu option is listed on the "Content" drop down menu.
See attached screenshots.
Assigning to Clifton for review.
Clifton - let's add this to the 6.3 docs first and make sure all the required elements for that version are included.
When that is done, we can back port any changes to the 6.2 content and check the list against that as well.
Hi Jake,
Thanks for the confirmation.
I will adopt the changes except the note recommending the removal of the activation keys tab in the Create Host Group form.
