Description of problem: attempt to use ngrep on openvpn created tun device fails, tcpdump works. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): ngrep-1.47-0.4.a39256b.fc27.x86_64 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. establish an openvpn connection, note tun device number. 2. attempt to run ngrep on that device: # ngrep -d tun0 Actual results: pcap compile: no VLAN support for data link type 12 Expected results: packets output Additional info: Upstream https://github.com/jpr5/ngrep message says that a 'Fix "no VLAN support for XXX"-related problems' has been implemented on 9.7.2017. Still present in Fedora 27 as of now because current ngrep has been built on 04 Aug 2017.
