Description of problem: In Fedora 27 I am unable to get color scans from HP DeskJet 1514. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 3.17.11 (Scan Utility 2.2) How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install hplip-gui 2. Run hp-setup 3. Run hp-scan with -m color -s file Actual results: error: Error saving file: cannot write mode RGBA as JPEG (I/O) Expected results: A jpg file is created Additional info: Related to https://github.com/python-pillow/Pillow/issues/2609 ?

I am happy to test, but unfortunately it can take a month or two until I visit again the place where the device is located.

This fix seems to work but is incomplete; I get the same error when scanning with -xraw (that's when this fix doesn't work).
You're right, I'll release fix for xraw too.
