Description Mac Bowles 2005-04-02 04:26:33 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/3.3; Linux) (KHTML, like Gecko)

Description of problem:
Konqueror crashes while displaying www.msn.com. Firefox never displays the
page or crashes during display, Epiphany won't go there and display it at all,
it hangs. Konqueror supplied crash trace and I saved it, if anyone wants it.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kernel-2.6.10-1.770_FC3, Epiphany 1.4.4, Konqueror 3.3.1-4.3.FC3, Firefox 1.0.2

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open browser
2. goto www.msn.com
3. if that succeeds, login to get mail

Actual Results: Crash, hang, bad behaviour of every kind

Expected Results: Been able to read the page, navigate from it, sign in for mail

Additional info:

First version of Konqueror worked great with version of FC3 from SAMS book
CDs. After automatic updater session (over 200 packages updated), Konqueror
displayed problem. Other browsers never worked before. They sort of work now.
Konqueror is still best, but fails on www.msn.com. Using an AMD Athlon home
built computer with Qwest DSL connection to web.

Comment 2 Sitsofe Wheeler 2005-04-02 10:44:17 UTC
I have justed tested msn.com with mozilla-firefox-1.0.2-2mdk (I assume you are
using a Fedora version of firefox) and Konqueror 3.3.1-4.3.FC3 without any
problem. I don't have an MSN login so I can't comment on that part of this bug.

Do you have strange problems like this on ANY other site? How did you do your
upgrade? Is every possible upgrade installed?

Comment 3 Matthew Miller 2006-07-10 21:06:57 UTC
Fedora Core 3 is now maintained by the Fedora Legacy project for security
updates only. If this problem is a security issue, please reopen and
reassign to the Fedora Legacy product. If it is not a security issue and
hasn't been resolved in the current FC5 updates or in the FC6 test
release, reopen and change the version to match.

Thank you!
