Red Hat Bugzilla 1230405 0 high CLOSED [RFE] Cinder RBD driver encryption support 2022-08-09 14:34:28 UTC

Description Tzach Shefi 2018-03-26 15:12:45 UTC
Description of problem: I'm not sure this tiny fact is found on OSPD guides, but if you try to encrypt Cinder volume backed by RBD the encryption key size needs to be 256 bits not 512bits.

See https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1230405#c38
I've got no idea why, but I've asked dev on next comment.

This is important to document as Ceph/RDB is our leading storage backend and encryption is an important issue. Hate to get customer bugs due to this little fact missing from documentation.
