Description of problem:
I attempted a workaround for bug #1564906
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1564906

I downloaded:
https://rpmfind.net/linux/fedora/linux/development/rawhide/Everything/x86_64/os/Packages/k/kernel-core-4.17.0-0.rc0.git4.1.fc29.x86_64.rpm

and ran:
sudo rpm -iv --replacefiles kernel-core-4.17.0-0.rc0.git4.1.fc29.x86_64.rpm 

and rebooted
