Description of problem:
I was unable to make gamin to monitor the /proc directory. The same application
was able to do it in my /home/alex
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Steps to Reproduce:
1. try to monitor /proc
Actual Results: no FAMEvent's
Expected Results: ....
You can't monitor /proc
Forget about it, it's kernel maintained data, unless forcing polling and
it would be horribly expensive, and probably the best way to consume 100%
of your CPU all the time.
Fedora Core 3 is now maintained by the Fedora Legacy project for security
updates only. If this problem is a security issue, please reopen and
reassign to the Fedora Legacy product. If it is not a security issue and
hasn't been resolved in the current FC5 updates or in the FC6 test
release, reopen and change the version to match.
