Description martin bures 2005-05-08 19:03:27 EDT
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050416 Fedora/1.0.3-1.3.1 Firefox/1.0.3

Description of problem:
When burning a DVD with K3B, the system only recognizes my drive at 1/2 of its rated burning speed. I have tried to change the configuration elsewhere and have been unsuccessful.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
all released 2.6.x kernels are applicable

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1.use burner _NEC DVD_RW ND-2500A
2.use k3b with blank dvd media

Actual Results: The dvd drive only allows burning at 4x even though the drive is rated at 8x and 8x media is used.

Expected Results: Drive should burn at 8x when 8x media is used.

Additional info:

Max speed is reported as 31?

Fedora Core 3 is now maintained by the Fedora Legacy project for security
updates only. If this problem is a security issue, please reopen and
reassign to the Fedora Legacy product. If it is not a security issue and
hasn't been resolved in the current FC5 updates or in the FC6 test
release, reopen and change the version to match.

Thank you!
