Description of problem:
I use Xfce.  I wanted to test moving to Cinnamon DE, so I tried it on my Fedora Xfce VM using

dnf group install "Cinnamon Desktop"

But, it looks like Cinnamon is very broken.  Is this supposed to work like I did it?

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
cinnamon-3.8.0-2.fc28.x86_64

Actual results:
Immediately on login, you get dialog box with "Cinnamon crashed. You are running in fallback mode."

Also, when selecting "software rendering" at login screen, many "apps" fail to start on login and cannot be started.

This should be fixed by running updates.
