One issue was that gcc was missing from the buildroot, but even after fixing that, one of the unit tests is consistently failing for me. Michal, can you take a look, please? e.g. https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//work/tasks/5915/28465915/build.log
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 29 development cycle. Changing version to '29'.
Should be fixed now.
