Description Mohan Boddu 2018-07-20 00:07:06 UTC
llvm3.9 failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=28198535

For details on the mass rebuild see:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_29_Mass_Rebuild
Please fix llvm3.9 at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
llvm3.9 will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 30,
llvm3.9 will be retired, if it still fails to build.

Comment 1 Jan Kurik 2018-08-14 09:25:31 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 29 development cycle.
Changing version to '29'.

Comment 2 Jens Petersen 2018-10-08 08:14:29 UTC
Looks like this was just a koji network blip on s390x?

Comment 3 Orion Poplawski 2018-10-08 13:31:49 UTC
I think it's a persistent failure: https://apps.fedoraproject.org/koschei/package/llvm3.9?

I'd like to just retire it, but there still is a dep in Fedora.

Comment 4 Jens Petersen 2018-11-17 04:31:40 UTC
Hehe, since then there have been changes to the Koji buildroot group of course.

I referred to https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=28198535.

Yes for now, ghc on armv7hl and aarch64 still requires llvm3.9.
