The XFree86 and XFree86-xfs rpms are broken in pinstripe, both as part of
the install and when downloaded separately. I'm sure you know this
already, but just giving you my $0.02. It seems that most of the modules
don't get installed and in xfs it fails with init. Both are reported as
cpio.h errors.

BTW, I like the new distro otherwise.
Regards,
JD

Oops.. I should mention my hardware. S7 mvp3 board with a Rage Fury Pro. And I
was attempting to use the XF 4.0.1 from an ftp install. I don't know if the
rpms are ok on the iso images... I know my video card doesn't work with 3.3.x,
but I had X working with the binaries from the xfree86 website.

cpio errors indicate problems with your previous install;
did you get something like:

Error unpacking on /etc/X11/xserver: cpio: unlink failed?
