In line with the Mass Python 2 Package Removal [0], all (sub)packages of python-rsslib were marked for removal: * python2-rsslib According to our query, those packages only provide a Python 2 importable module. If this is not true, please tell us why, so we can fix our query. Please retire your package in Rawhide (Fedora 30). If there is no objection in a week, we will retire the package for you. We hope this doesn't come to you as a surprise. If you want to know our motivation for this, please read the change document [0]. Why are we removing Python 2? That seems the bigger problem.
This one is likely easy to convert to Py3 if someone was interested. I don't use Python 3 myself.
We are not removing Python 2 yet, we are mass removing python2 packages. See https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Mass_Python_2_Package_Removal for the "whys" and "hows". Feel free to change to Python 3. Otherwise please retire the package.
(In reply to Miro Hrončok from comment #3) > We are not removing Python 2 yet, we are mass removing python2 packages. I don't see the distinction. An interpreter without any packages is fairly useless. > See > https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Mass_Python_2_Package_Removal for the > "whys" and "hows". I saw that, but it hardly justifies such a large change. > Feel free to change to Python 3. Otherwise please retire the package. Again, I don't use Python3 and don't feel strongly about rsslib. I am leaving this one to you Python2 deletionists. I just noted that someone interested in Py3 could probably adapt easily.
OK. Thanks.
Will retire today.
Retired in rawhide.
