This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red
Hat Enterprise Linux maintenance release. Product Management has requested
further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential
inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Update release for currently deployed

Can you provide some more detail on how to trigger the segfault? It's not
immediately obvious to me how this can be done, as removing the section and
either restarting or reloading the 'smb' service didn't cause any problems on my
tests setup, even for subsequent connection requests.
The requested information never came in for a resolution to be arrived at. We
are unable to reproduce here at Red Hat. Please reopen this bug if you can
provide the requested information.
