Description amashah 2018-10-16 17:58:40 UTC
Description of problem:

There are 2 logical networks assigned on the host, pushed from RHV-M -> Setup Host Networks

Both are within the same subnet. When saving changes, one or the other network indicates out of sync. Sync all networks results in the same issue, either ovirtmgmt or lan-virtual-machines becomes out of sync. If you mouse over, the tooltip indicates the default route does not match that of the DC.

On the host side, the default route is not set.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

RHV-M 4.2.6
RHV-H 4.2.6

How reproducible:

This is in a customer environment, logs are attached.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Compute -> Hosts -> Network -> Setup Host Networks
2. Assign ovirtmgmt and another logical network on the same subnet, same gateway for both
3. Save changes

Actual results:

The networks are out of sync and the host does not have a default route.

Expected results:

The networks are in sync and the host has a default route.

Additional info:

At one point when setting up the two networks, removing the gateway from one of them and leaving it for the other network made the networks sync properly, however when the host is rebooted the issue returns and the default route is missing.

Comment 4 Dominik Holler 2018-10-22 09:57:56 UTC
Two interfaces in the same subnet on one host are not supported.
