Description Miro Hrončok 2018-10-18 17:33:28 UTC
In line with the Mass Python 2 Package Removal [0], all (sub)packages of python-hghooks were marked for removal:

 * python2-hghooks

According to our query, those (sub)packages only provide a Python 2 importable module. If this is not true, please tell us why, so we can fix our query.

Please retire your package in Rawhide (Fedora 30).

If there is no objection in a week, we will retire the package for you.

We hope this doesn't come to you as a surprise. If you want to know our motivation for this, please read the change document [0].

Comment 1 Lorenzo Gil Sanchez 2018-10-18 17:36:17 UTC
I agree with the decision to remove python2-hghooks from Fedora 30. This project has not been maintained for a while and it definitely won't work with Python 3.

I will remove it following that wiki page instructions.

Comment 2 Miro Hrončok 2018-10-18 17:38:37 UTC
Thanks!

There are no specific instructions about how to retire a package on that page.

If you need some resource, here is the relevant doc:

Thanks, I'm happy to help.

Comment 4 Lorenzo Gil Sanchez 2018-10-19 06:13:57 UTC
I have removed it with the fedpkg retire command.

I don't know how to remove it from https://release-monitoring.org/project/3885/

release-monitoring can stay, it's more about the upstream than downstream.
