It works now! I did run a "sudo dnf update" on my rawhide-installation.

now is the sound don't working. I tested kernel vmlinuz-4.20.0-0.rc1.git4.1.fc30.x86_64
vmlinuz-4.20.0-0.rc2.git0.1.fc30.x86_64
vmlinuz-4.20.0-0.rc2.git2.1.fc30.x86_64

If I do fast reboot in Windows, sound is not working in Linux. Using "shutdown /r /t 1" in windows command prompt helped .

Comment 7 chris.walg 2018-11-23 08:12:08 UTC
I tested "shutdown /r /t 1", but that is no a solution for me.

Hello, I was impressed by the extensive Hardware support on the X1 Tablet, but the Microphone is also causing trouble for me. It gets detected properly, but does not record a single bit of sound. Gnome-settings is displaying one red blinking bar (as if the input was very low, but most calling apps detect it as muted or similar).

I used amixer -d to check whether the input is enabled, and it is indeed listed as [on]. I'm running Fedora 30 with Gnome 3.32.2. I'd be glad to help resolve the issue, feel free to give me directions on how to debug it.

Here in Fedora 31 I have also problems with this audio card. Microphone doesn't work properly, only saves noise.
