Going into a terminal and using bluetoothctl to pair, connect & trust the mouse, seems to work correctly. Looks like its the Cinnamon applet that is doing something funky.

@Bastien Nocera

cinnamon-control-center doesn't have any bluetooth panel neither does cinnamon package.
cinnamon-settings has a link that points to blueberry.

Any messages from blueberry in your journal ? ( sudo journalctl -b -l | grep blueberry ) or session logs? (possibly ~/.xsession-errors )

Comment 4 Johann Amin 2018-12-03 07:53:27 UTC
The command "journalctl -b -l | grep blueberry" only has this to say:

Dec 03 09:34:58 johann.akiss.com.my dbus-daemon[1558]: [session uid=1000 pid=1558] Activating via systemd: service name='org.bluez.obex' unit='dbus-org.bluez.obex.service' requested by ':1.62' (uid=1000 pid=1885 comm="blueberry-obex-agent

But based on the time stamp, I doubt it has anything to do with my testing now at 15:00++ hours.

The command "grep blueberry .xsession-errors" has this to say:
