Description Andrew Robinson 2018-11-20 15:18:48 UTC
Description of problem:

After changing from NFS to fuse for volume access, memory and CPU utilization by the glusterfs and glusterfsd processes increased to above 90%.

The customer is very concerned about the high memory usage, though it has not yet affected performance.

This BZ was opened to get help on reducing the high memory usage.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

glusterfs-3.8.4-44.el7rhgs.x86_64

There is no redhat-storage-server rpm with its tuned profiles.

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual results:

Memory usage in the 90% range when using native fuse clients
