I recently needed to switch from ez-ipupdate to something that works behind  
NAT, so I tried ddclient and made some improvements while at it.  Patch  
attached, let me know if you'd like me to commit it.  
  
One thing this update does not address yet is that AFAIK there should be no  
reason to run ddclient as root, so it should be tweaked to not do so, for  
example akin to how the ez-ipupdate package does it.  I can take a look at  
doing that later, if you want.
