Description Oskar Rundgren 2019-01-05 19:11:36 UTC
Description of problem:
Some wifi connections work fine, but I have a connection to one device (a netgear router) where the internet connection stops working after updating linux-firmware package.

Often network manager doesn't reach state CONNECTED_GLOBAL, but it does sometimes, and changes to CONNECTED_SITE few minutes.

I don't see any error messages in NetworkManager or dmesg logs.

I have done a clean install of Fedora 29.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
linux-firmware-20180913-87.git44d4fca9.fc29.noarch work fine
linux-firmware-20181219-89.git0f22c852.fc29.noarch doesn't work

How reproducible:
every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. dnf install linux-firmware-20181219-89.git0f22c852.fc29.noarch
2. systemctl stop NetworkManager
3. rmmod ath10k_pci
4. modprobe ath10k_pci
5. systemctl start NetworkManager

Additional info:

Network card is:
"Qualcomm Atheros QCA6174"
wifi (ath10k_pci)

Firmware version where issue occurs:
[ 2789.860462] ath10k_pci 0000:02:00.0: firmware ver RM.4.4.1.c2-00057-QCARMSWP-1 api 6 features wowlan,ignore-otp,no-4addr-pad,raw-mode crc32 e061250a
