Description Arkady Shtempler 2019-01-24 07:34:35 UTC
I think that OSP operators might want to have the ability to get some information regarding Overcloud switches managed by Ansible Networking, in similar way it’s done for Overcloud nodes for example, I mean something like:

.stackrc
openstack switch list

that will provide a list of all configured switches in neutron-ml2-ansible_2_switches.yaml including:

1) ID
2) Name
3) Status (Active in case when management IP is reachable)
5) Management IP
…
…

We can also think about adding some other values into “show” command, for example:
openstack switch show ID will also provide:

1) OS version
2) SSH User
3) Ports connected to BM guests
4) Vendor type
5) Manage Vlans (True/False)
…
…
…

Note:
The functionality described above is just something I've thought about.
