With PCI serial ports, there's not a good way to distinguish a PCI modem that shows up as a serial port, as opposed to a raw PCI serial port that you might attach a modem to. At this point, this code is not going to change for RHEL 3 or RHEL 4, and probably won't change appreciably for future releases.
