"MariaDB Connector/J 2.4.0 is fully compatible with the latest release of version 2.3. Further maintenance releases will not be provided for version 2.3."

Because the version 2.3 contains only 2.3.0 and will be not maintained, I updated to 2.4.0, which is fully compatible with mariadb 10.3.
