Description A S Alam 2005-09-19 14:44:22 UTC
Description of problem:
when in Kate, we check a long language (Punjabi) string, it shows Fuzzy
characters as shows in Figure kate_test_punjabi_fc4_3.4.2.png. for Test,
Same String is checked in KEDIT, which shows correct string as in Figure
kedit_qt_3.4.2_pa_T_fc4.png

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kdebase-3.4.2-4

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open kate, open attached file "kate_test_punjabi_fc4_qt3-4-2.txt"
2. check character as second line
3. (may need to change size of kate to bring string in second line
4. correct case can be checked with Kedit

Actual results:
kate view

Expected results:
kedit view

This report targets the FC3 or FC4 products, which have now been EOL'd.

Could you please check that it still applies to a current Fedora release, and
either update the target product or close it ?

Thanks.
