Description John Bradshaw 2005-09-29 14:28:01 UTC
Description of problem:

Gnomemeeting produces a dialogue box which says
The Application "gnomemeeting" has quit unexpectedly.

However the application still works if you ignore this window - you can enter
the preferences dialogue box and change parameters, etc.

Program gives a return value of 1. Can't do an strace as there's too much going
on to identify what is happening when the message appears.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Every time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Gnomemeeting (either from bash or the menu)
2. Wait 30-40 seconds for the dialogue box saying the program has failed.

Actual results:
Unexpected dialogue box saying the app has crashed although there seems to be no
problem.

Expected results:
Dialogue box would not appear.

Forgot the versions...
bug-buddy-2.10.0-1
gnomemeeting-1.2.2-1.FC
kernel-2.6.12-1.1456_FC4

Comment 2 Alexander Larsson 2006-08-14 12:51:59 UTC
Does this still happen with ekiga in FC5?

Comment 3 John Bradshaw 2006-08-14 13:02:01 UTC
I'm not running FC5 so can't comment.

Comment 4 Matthias Clasen 2006-11-27 05:57:20 UTC
Thank you for the bug report. However, Fedora Project no longer maintains this
version of the product. Please upgrade to the latest version and open a new bug
if the problem persists.

The Fedora Legacy project (http://fedoralegacy.org/) maintains some older
releases, and if you believe this bug is interesting to them, please report the
problem against Fedora Legacy component
