so how about ditching webpush and using plive instead...

Paul, I don't have rights to close this bug.  However, its closed.  The latest
version of 'webpush' prints some messaging about how 'plive' should be used
instead and a suggestion of how the command they typed could be run with plive. 
Note that 'webpush.y2k' is still around.
