Description David Binderman 2005-10-03 11:06:27 UTC
Description of problem:

I just tried to compile Fedora development package hplip-0.9.5-3
with the new compiler gcc402 and the compiler flag -Wall.

The compiler said

1.

scan/sane/pml.c:1061: warning: 'inputAvail' is used uninitialized in this function

The source code is

      wResult = ipConvert(hpaio->hJob, inputAvail, input, &inputUsed,
&inputNextPos, outputAvail, output, &outputUsed, &outputThisPos);

I agree with the compiler. Suggest initialise local variable "inputAvail"
before first use.

2.

io/hpiod/uppdevice.cpp:192: warning: 'mode' is used uninitialized in this function

The source code is

         ChannelMode = mode;

I agree with the compiler. Suggest initialise local variable "mode"
before first use.
