Created attachment 1562938 [details] screen capture of web browser showing novnc error Description of problem: When I try to start novnc using the novnc_server script, it gives an error "The path /usr/bin/websockify exists, but /usr/bin/websockify/run either does not exist or is not executable." Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): novnc-1.0.0-2.fc30.noarch How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. install novnc-1.0.0-2 and python3-websockify-0.8.0-11 2. have a VNC server running on somehost:port 3. run "novnc_server --vnc somehost:port" Actual results: [eric@p1 foo]$ novnc_server --vnc 192.168.18.55:5900 Warning: could not find self.pem The path /usr/bin/websockify exists, but /usr/bin/websockify/run either does not exist or is not executable. If you intended to use an installed websockify package, please remove /usr/bin/websockify. Expected results: novnc runs Additional info: python3-websockify installs an executable as /usr/bin/websockify, yet novnc_server appear to assume that /usr/bin/websockify is a directory! If I move the websockify executable out of the way, create the directory, and move the websockify executable into the directory, the script runs much better, though I still am unable to get novnc to actually work; the web browser gets an error as shown in the attached capture.
