Description Konstantin Ryabitsev 2005-10-19 17:27:28 UTC
Description of problem:
Being stuck with an atheros chipset, I have to make do with an ath0 device. It
seems that the new NetworkManager from updates-testing won't work with ath0 --
it tries to connect, but then reverts to the "No Network Connection" state. The
only relevant thing I seem to see in /var/log/messages is:

Oct 19 13:19:28 protee dhcdbd: message_handler: message handler not found under
/com/redhat/dhcp/ath0 for sub-path ath0.dbus.get.reason

I can look further if told where.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
NetworkManager-0:0.5.0-1.FC4.1.i386

yum --enablerepo=updates-testing update wireless-tools

Ah, yes indeed! This bit was missing from your blog post. :)

It now works.
